Howdy folks,

More cool news to share - I am delighted to announce that the Enterprise State Roaming service for Windows 10 is GA!

Gunjan Jain, a PM on our partner Windows Server and Services team, has led this effort, so I've asked her to fill you in on the specifics of this news below.

And as always, we'd love to receive any feedback or suggestions you have!

-------

Hi again everyone,

I'm Gunjan Jain, one of the PMs in the Microsoft's Windows Server and Services team. Today, I am thrilled to announce the General Availability of Azure AD Enterprise State Roaming for Windows 10. We announced the public preview of this service about four months ago in this blog post . Since then we have continued to work closely with the Azure AD and Windows client teams to incorporate your feedback and prepare the service for today's announcement.

Enterprise State Roaming service is part of Azure AD Premium. With Enterprise State Roaming, customers benefit from enhanced security and control of the OS and app state data that are roamed between enterprise owned devices. All synced data is encrypted before leaving the device and backed by an enterprise compliant storage service in the Microsoft Azure cloud. This enables enterprises to maintain control over their data. With Enterprise State Roaming, users no longer have to use consumer Microsoft accounts to roam settings between work-owned devices, and their data is no longer stored in the personal OneDrive cloud.

My last blog post provides more details about the benefits, configuration, and deployment of the Enterprise State Roaming. I encourage you to watch the below video demo of Enterprise State Roaming on Azure AD Channel 9 for step by step configuration instructions and to see Enterprise Roaming Service in action.

At the time of the public preview, this service was available only in US and Europe regions. Several of you asked us when we would make it available in more regions around the world. Well, today we are pleased to announce that Enterprise State Roaming service is now available in multiple Azure regions to service all our Azure AD customers globally. You can find the updated list of the Enterprise State Roaming available regions on the Azure Services by Regions page under Azure Active Directory.

For more details, read the Enterprise State Roaming documentation .

And if your interested, you can also read about how Microsoft IT implemented Enterprise State Roaming to separate business and personal settings on Windows 10 devices.

That's that! Thanks for your interest in this service. As always, don't hesitate to ask any question or share your feedback. You can also share your feedback on Azure AD uservoice .

Happy roaming!
