Howdy folks,

I’m excited to share the news from our Office team that the ability to enforce a Naming Policy for Office 365 Groups, powered by Azure AD, is now generally available!

Groups provides admins a tool to manage users and policies at scale. The Naming Policy feature enables admins to define prefix or suffix conventions that can be automatically appended to group names and/or create a list of words that are blocked from use in group names. Note, the feature requires Azure AD Premium 1 licenses for the group creator, the group members, and the Naming Policy admin.

To get started, check out our documentation on how to configure and manage these Naming Policies. We always love to hear your feedback and suggestions, and we look forward to hearing from you! Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Best regards,

    Hi there,

any informations about beeing able to use more AAD attributes?

We´re starting to move into the azure O365 space and with the possibilities at the moment, clean group naming policies are not possible :/

    Best regards
