AADC Connect

I am currently running Windows server2012R2 with Azure AD Connect.  I have been getting messages that I am using a deprecated version of AADC. My solution is to install and promote a Server 2022.  I have to server up and running and has been promoted to a DC.  My question is can I install the newest AADC on the 2022 and have it take over duties before or while the other is still running?

Windows Server 2022 is not yet supported, and Microsoft recommends usage of domain joined Windows Server 2019 to install AAD connect.

The newly installed AAD connect Server will not take over the synchronization automatically by itself, you need to make the old AAD connect server as staging and the newly installed one as Production to make the new server to start synchronization.
