Upgrade to Defender for o365 Plan 2 from Business Premium

My client is on Microsoft 365 Business Premium. I know Defender Plan 1 comes with it. Can we upgrade to Plan 2 or do we need an Enterprise subscription?

    Can confirm that I've applied "Microsoft Defender for Office365 (Plan 2)" on top of my Microsoft 365 Business Premium license.
    Got a 3-month trial too.

      Super glad to hear you got this sorted. Business SKU's can definitely benefit from Defender for Office Plan 1 & 2 licenses.

    According to the documentation, Premium is not listed as something you can stack plan 2 on top of.

    Did you already try to add it and it failed to add (one test is worth 1000 theories!).

    If that does not work then Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 2 can also be purchased through an enterprise subscription as you mentioned (Office 365 E5, Office 365 A5, and Microsoft 365 E5).
