While both products source their data from on-premises Domain Controllers, ATA is an entirely on-premises product, whereas Azure ATP is an Azure hosted service. In addition, Azure ATP will enable integration with other cloud data sources. The table below includes a list of differences. Let me know if you have additional questions.
