Discovered apps in global view is less than the components

We have few different sources reporting logs to MCAS. 

In Cloud discovery under Discovered Apps I would expect Global to contain all sources, but if I switch to different reports the number changes significantly. 

Ex. For global, it shows ~500 apps, for Win 10 Endpoint Users (Defender) it shows ~1700 

why is global so much less?

Win 10 Endpoint Users does not report to Global. Only other log sources do.
