How do I delete a mail in a Office 365 Group?

Steel Contributor

I want to delete an email from a Office365 Group. But there is no delete button in the ribbon and pressing the DELETE key on the keyboard does not work either. I am the group owner. So how do I achieve this?

PS I use Outlook 365 Version 1804

I assume you want to delete a Group conversation in Outlook desktop.

If this is the case, right-click the conversation and choose delete from the contextual menu.

Hope it helps...

Hi Salvatore, I tried that, but I don't have that item in the context menu. There is only copy, reply, reply all, forward and search for conversation from this sender.

Are you trying to delete the whole conversation or a single reply?

Do you see delete if you right click the whole conversation?

If you want to delete a single reply, are you the sender?

Could be a permission thing. I believe you can only delete conversations from groups if you are the Owner.
I wasn't in the owner group. Should have double-checked that before posting a question. Sorry. I added myself and assume that I will be able to delete after the new permissions synced to my Outlook.

I am an owner and can not delete an email from a public Group..
