Azure Sphere typically issues one or two quality releases in between quarterly feature releases. Feature releases support new functionality and include both the Azure Sphere OS and the SDK. Quality releases include bug fixes and performance enhancements, and usually include only the Azure Sphere OS.
Quality release 21.11 will not be issued
No relevant bug fixes or performance enhancements have been identified during the 21.11 development period, and as a result Azure Sphere will not issue a 21.11 release. The Retail feed will continue to deliver version 21.10 until the next release. We will continue to publish updates to documentation, samples, and gallery projects.
Advance notice of SDK changes in April 2022 that may require customer action
The Azure Sphere Classic CLI will not be included in SDK releases starting in April 2022. The Classic CLI was marked as deprecated in February 2021. If you still have a dependency on the Classic CLI, you must migrate your processes and scripts by March 31, 2022 to avoid disruption.
