Microsoft FastTrack for Azure

The FastTrack for Azure (FTA) team has released an open-source solution to check any Canada federal department's compliance requirements against the 12 mandated guardrails.  With the "Government departments responsible for continuously auditing their cloud environments", the FastTrack for Azure team worked directly with several departments to build and deploy the solution to shorten time for evidence package gathering and assist in this requirement.  

 

The GC Solution Accelerator is a multi-lingual solution built and deployed using Azure native tools which periodically scans customers’ environment and provides a simplified visualization of guardrails compliance posture available through the Azure Portal. It leverages Azure native resources such as Microsoft Graph API, Azure Policy, Azure Key Vault, Azure Automation, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, displaying auditing reports on workbooks and Azure Managed Grafana. It complements the Canada's Public Sector Azure Landing Zone reference implementation and ideally installed after the landing zone deployment. As of publishing, the tool has expanded to provide a centralized, secure and simplified visual tools to audit compliance status for Shared Services Canada using Azure LightHouse. It is currently on pilot phase.
