In our continued efforts to improve the reliability, speed and administration experience of public folder migration, we are very glad to announce the availability of Remove-PublicFolderMailboxMigrationRequest cmdlet for the use of Exchange Online tenant administrators. The cmdlet will help tenant administrator remove individual public folder mailbox migration request, which is very helpful in scenarios where the migration request may have been duplicated or orphaned. Please check this link for detailed documentation on how to use the cmdlet. A sample script (attached to this blog post) can be used to detect duplicate or orphaned public folder mailbox migration requests and also remove them if so desired. We’ve love to hear your feedback and please feel free to ask any questions via the comments section below.

Hi,

we also need the New-PublicFolderMoveRequest cmdlet! We had the situation that a PF mailbox had a corrupt folder hierarchy. We could not fix the problem in Exchange Online! With normal OnPrem cmdlet we could migrate the PF folders away from the corrupt PF mailbox and delete the currupt PF Mailbox. Since we don't have the cmdlet online, this is not possible!

Kind Regards
