View pooled storage consumption is currently being rolled out across tenants globally. There are three possible reasons why you may not be seeing the storage reports currently:
- The tooling has not been rolled out to your tenant yet. Expect to see the view pooled storage consumption tool by mid-August.
- Your tenant might not be subject to the Education Storage policy. Only tenants with greater than 50% Education licenses are subject to EDU storage policy. Please reference "Who will receive the pooled storage limit" section in Office 365 Education - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Learn.
- You may not have the necessary permissions. Users with either Global Administrator or SharePoint Administrator roles assigned will be able to access the storage reports.
Following are the tools you will see rolled out now and over the next few months.
- Ability to view storage entitlement in M365 Admin Center by the end of August. Customers can estimate their storage entitlement today using this documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/office-365-platform-service-description/office-365-education
- Manage OneDrive storage limits through groups: tooling for IT Admins to manage OneDrive storage through setting limits by security groups will be available by the beginning of October.
- End user consumption and management: Tools that end users can leverage to understand their OneDrive storage consumption, view their limit, and view their largest files will be available by the beginning of October. Office 365 A1 users will automatically have a maximum limit of 100GB beginning February 1, 2024, however, Microsoft recommends that IT Admins set appropriate limits for all users.
