Would you like to contribute to the direction of the Microsoft Community Initiative? We are accepting applications from community members to fill the five open seats that we have for the Microsoft Community Advisory Board (MCAB) Officers. Every person is eligible but successful candidates will have some experience within the community directly and/or community event organizing skills.

Community Board voting members hold working volunteer positions on behalf of the community. They are accountable for:

  • Active recruitment into the community of members, sponsors and event organizers.
  • Organizing Microsoft Community Days events in their home region.
  • Consistent attendance at MCAB meetings and events.
  • Driving awareness of the MCAB initiative and Microsoft Community Days events through social media, speaking engagements and publications.
  • Active participation in a minimum of one sub-committee.
  • Active succession planning in case of job or personal changes that require resignation of their charter.
  • Adherence to the Microsoft Community Code of Conduct in all interactions.

Applications are open until June 30th. The shortlist of candidates will present to the broader community at our next General Session meeting. For responsibilities and context please review our General Session deck here. The five (5) positions will be appointed for this cycle and then elected in the future. We hope you join us on this important journey!  Fill out the application at https://aka.ms/MCABLeaderApp.
