Today, we are rolling out a new Copilot feature named Help me create to the Microsoft 365 web app. Help me create lets you focus more on what to write, with the Microsoft 365 app and Copilot suggests the best format for your content.

Help me create dialog box, showing a text box where the user can describe their idea for Copilot to create content.

With Help me create, you don't have to worry about choosing the right app.  Whether you need to write a paper, a presentation, a list, or an icebreaker quiz, you can simply tell Help me create what you want to work on, and it will suggest the best app for you and give you a boost with Copilot powered generative AI suggestions. Like Copilot, Help me create is built on Microsoft's comprehensive approach to security, compliance, and privacy.

Here's how it works and how Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 users can try it out today:

  1. Open the Microsoft 365 web app (https://microsoft365.com) and sign in with your Copilot for Microsoft 365 enabled account.
  2. Click on "Create" on the left-hand rail and then click on the "Help me create" tile. Help me create dialog box in the foreground, with the Microsoft 365 web app create screen in the background.
  3. Enter your prompt in the text window. This is a brief description of what you want to create, such as "Help me create a list of responsibilities for a software engineer position" or " Help me create a marketing plan for a house painting business".
  4. Click "Generate" and wait for Help me create to create content based on your prompt. You can also edit the content if you want to make any changes. Edit and finalize dialog box, showing Copilot generated text on the left-hand side and the recommended application where the content should be located. Other applications are provided for the user to select.
  5. Now you can choose the recommended app or one of the suggested apps to continue. Then click ‘Create’ to start working on your project.

Help me create is available for Copilot for Microsoft 365 customers and supports creating content in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, OneNote, Lists, Clipchamp, Sway, Visio, Stream, Engage, PowerBI and Whiteboard. Additional information for IT admins and users is available here, and frequently asked questions can be reviewed here. We will be increasing the number of applications that can use Help me create in the coming months, with changes being communicated on the Microsoft 365 public roadmap. Try it out today at https://microsoft365.com/create and see how Help me create can boost your productivity and creativity with Microsoft 365.

Many thanks for the great information.

When are you planning to enable this feature for Microsoft 365 Family/Single users?

Thank you very much for your answers, which I would greatly appreciate.

    Best regards

This has not appeared in my tenant, so I cannot try it today. The actual arrival date/time to customers' tenants should be considered when wording posts about new features.

This would be awesome today, (Here's how it works and how Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 users can try it out today:) if it were only showing in my tenant, today. And yes, I am a licensed user of Copilot for Microsoft 365. 🙂
