M365 Apps Update failed but installed on the computer

I am testing switching M365 apps from Semi-Annual to Monthly Enterprise channel. I followed this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/fieldnotes/switch-to-monthly-enterprise-channel article and then pushed Monthly Enterprise channel as a software update. On the computer Office 365 got updated to Monthly Enterprise channel and it shows the right version in Add/Remove programs but Software Center shows the update is failed. I tested another scenario where i downloaded a older version of Monthly enterprise channel and installed manually and then updated that version with SCCM software update and Software Center reported successful. Did anyone ran into this issue when switching channels ?

I think this is not a content issue as software is installed successfully on the computer.

What does the UpdatesDeployment log say in relation to the error?
