Should we uninstall Delivery Plans Extension?

Seems based on documentation we should be using native Delivery Plans instead of the extension. We haven't used the extension to date. What are the implications for uninstalling or disabling it? Is this advisable before we get started, or is it impossible to leverage it now that Delivery Plans is native to ADO?
