(iPad) I’m utterly sick of having to tap the ‘keyboard’ user control twice to show/hide the on-screen keyboard, because the intermediate option is to display the ‘pan screen’ user control.

Please split the controls so you can actively/explicitly decide whether you’re picking the keyboard function, or the pan function, as opposed to the current operation of bundling both completely independent operations together into one icon control to trigger both.

There’s no reason why you can’t split the usability into 2 separate icons to each represent the keyboard control, and the pan control. It would be so much more usable that way.

Even better is if the ‘pan’ function was indeed implemented as its own control that is constantly visible but same time takes up little-to-no-space on the screen (dependent on visibility of on-screen keyboard), and change the pan behaviour so when you just simply tap/hold down, the act of holding down triggers a virtual d-pad that awaits your finger movement to swipe in that direction to engage the pan event.
