We are happy to announce new upgrades to Multimedia Redirection (MMR) on Azure Virtual Desktop are now in public preview. Now you can enjoy a smoother video playback experience while watching videos in your Azure Virtual Desktop remote app browser and session desktop. These updates allow MMR to work on 30 websites, such as Facebook, IMBD, YouTube, Fox Sports, Vimeo, Coursera, Yahoo, Reddit and more. Both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome support the new multimedia redirection video upgrades. In addition to working on more websites, users have access to more media controls, refreshed playback status icon indicators, and new diagnosability tools available in the MMR browser extension.
