Experiencing Data Latency issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types - 07/21 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 07/21, 10:30 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 07/21, 08:30 UTC and that during the 2 hours that it took to resolve the issue, Some customers may have experienced intermittent data gaps, and incorrect alert activation.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to issues with one of the backend services.
  • Incident Timeline: 2 Hours - 07/21, 08:30 UTC through 07/21, 10:30 UTC.
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
