We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 04/26, 20:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 04/26, 15:39 UTC and that during the 5 hours and 1 minute that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have experienced issues with data access and delayed or missed Log Search Alerts in West US Region.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to operational threshold on one of our backend services.

We continue to investigate issues within Log Analytics. Root cause is not fully understood at this time. Some customers continue to experience issues with data access and delayed or missed Log Search Alerts in West US Region. Initial findings indicate that the problem began at 04/26 15:39 UTC.
