Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure portal for Log Analytics - 03/05 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal as of 03/05, 00:20 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 03/04, 23:55 UTC and that during the 25 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers might have experienced data access issues in South Africa region.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to issue in one of our backend services.
  • Incident Timeline:  25 minutes - 03/04, 23:55 UTC through 03/05, 00:20 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
