Microsoft Ignite - Migration Pre-Day

Migrate to Azure now - move your apps, data, and infrastructure to the cloud | Microsoft Ignite Pre-Day experience

This pre-day is hosted by our Azure migration engineering and field teams. You will have direct access to the team through the day. We only have a few seats left for this pre-day, so register soon.

What the pre-day will cover:

Hear best practices to discover application dependencies and strategies for moving databases, servers, and files. We demo hands-on migration from on-premises environments running in VMWare, Hyper-V, and physical servers. Try Azure services like Azure Migrate, Database Migration Service, and Azure Site Recovery and learn how to land the application in a mix of IaaS Azure VMs and Azure database solutions. Hear strategies for upcoming end of support for Windows Server 2008 and R2, and SQL Server 2008 and R2.

How to register:

Add this Pre-Day Workshop to your Microsoft Ignite registration for $500. Visit the Microsoft Ignite registration website and sign in to your registration record and select Pre-Day Workshop

We’ll give a Surface Laptop to one lucky attendee, so be sure to sign-up!

Migrate to Azure now - move your apps to the cloud (PRE21)

In the description and it states -

You will be leveraging your own device to complete migration challenges during the pre-day. You will need to be able to complete the following actions from your device:

    1. Use RDP to make a connection to Azure on port 3389.
    2. Access the Azure portal with credentials you will be provided at the event.

Will we be connecting to your Azure portal or our companies?  Also, do we need to bring our own laptop or portable device?

You will connect to the Azure portal in a subscription we provide to you for the labs. You won't need to perform actions in your own subscription.

And yes you need to bring your own device to complete the hands-on activities.

      Thanks
