Hi all,
We just released an update to the community and I wanted to share some information about the changes, what they mean to you and how your feedback impacts the way we build out the Microsoft Tech Community.
In this release, we started some work to remove the ‘My Home’ page. Many of you have told us that the filters it provides are useful but are buried too deep for them to be easily discoverable. We have pulled the filters out and applied them to the home page Latest Activity feed.
This allows you to filter the feed of activity you see from your favorited spaces by either Newest, Popular (most likes), Experts or Unanswered posts. I hope you will find these filters useful and help everyone, from new users looking for popular threads, to our MVPs and other influencers who come to help users get answers to their questions.
We have not finalized the plan for the final removal of the My Home page, but we will do it in a way that makes it easier to access your favorite communities and conversations.
Other changes in this release include:
What’s next?
As a result of the positive feedback we have received about the filters on the homepage, we are looking to roll them out to all community spaces. We are also working on improving the sorting of blog filters, changes to our community terms of service to support our new Community Event space, making it easier to find your own accepted solutions and continuing to improve the homepage load times.
Please remember to share your ideas in the Community Ideas space as we do look at every idea submitted and put your feedback at the heart of our planning.
