Microsoft Information Protection - Ignite 2019 recap

Ignite 2019 is now over and it was a great event and the biggest one for Microsoft Information Protection this year. As Microsoft Information Protection is a solution for consistent labeling across all Microsoft 365 platform, we have many partners that collaborate and announce their investments and releases. This year we had major announcements from Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance, Office 365, SharePoint, Azure Information Protection, PowerBI and many more.

Here is a short recap and references to all the great updates that was announced for Microsoft Information Protection during Ignite 2019.

Want to use and test all the great capabilities that has just been announced and are available to the public? Verify that you manage your sensitivity labels in Office 365 Security and Compliance center. If not, migrate them now from Azure Information Protection blade in Azure Portal to Office 365 Security and Compliance center. Read the "Unified Labeling explained blog" for more guidance.

    ok sorry - my question was not clear enough. i meant https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=57312

    "SharePoint auto classification with sensitivity labels (private preview)" there was a demo at BRK3101 

    Just https://aka.ms/SecurityPreviews for that.

  • This is a public preview and is enabled if you have Office 365 E5 / AIP P2 assigned to the user and if you opt in SPO integration with sensitivity labels. Word is already rolled out. Excel and PowerPoint should work shortly as well
