Azure B2B Collaboration and SharePoint Server 2016

Hello -

I am trying to enable Azure B2B Collaboration for external users for a SP Server 2016 environment. So far I found three (3) different ways to publish the SP Server 2016 to Azure AD and integrate. I am not 100% sure at this point which one is the right/preferred/optimum way to accomplish this.

  1. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/using-azure-ad-for-sharepoint-server-authentication
    • Uses the option Create a new enterprise application in Azure AD non-gallery application
  2. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/saas-apps/sharepoint-on-premises-tutorial
    • Uses Create a new enterprise application in Azure gallery applicationSharePoint on-premises”
  3. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/manage-apps/application-proxy-integrate-with-sharepoint-server
    • Uses AAD Application Proxy connector

Hope to get some guidance on this. Thanks

Ali.
