Support True Colour 24 bit Colour Quality in Remote Desktop Connection client for macOS
The Windows version of the Remote Desktop Connection client has supported True Colour (24 bit) colour quality for many years.
This is useful for many reasons, not the least for compatibility with Linux desktops such as Gnome and KDE.
In 2022 the macOS version of Remote Desktop Connection still does not have this support which is frustrating and often infuriating.

Looks like this idea didn't get enough votes over the past months to be considered. We are closing this idea.

Hi John_Spencer
So does this mean that Microsoft are going to drop support for 24-bit colour from the Windows version of RDC?
If not, why is it so hard to use the same code line on both Windows and macOS releases of RDC?

Hi KenLindner ,
Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, this item is not prioritized for the RD/AVD team and therefore not on the roadmap. The plan forward is continuing to support 32-bit.
