Smart card pass-through on version 10.9.3 (2158) does not work on macOS Sonoma. The smart card reader works to log into the virtual desktop, but once there it can't be used to sign in to anything within the virtual environment. The virtual environment gives an error that the smart card reader is detected but the token cannot be read. Smart card pass through was functional on macOS Ventura.

We recommend to review our troubleshooting section first. The other option you have is to open a support ticket through the Azure Portal.
I have the same problem on my PC, would be great if this could be fixed.
