Facing the same issue currently. I was able to test different setups now:
Airpods 3 - Sound issue is present
Airpods Pro 2 - Sound issue is present
Sennheiser PXC-550 II - Sound is working properly
Macbook Speakers - Sound is working properly
Hope Microsoft & Apple are working together on this already to get it fixed...
Not fixed in 15.2 for me at least
