Moving a file from RDP to a local folder changes its date...
I have noticed that when I'm logged into my Windows Server 2012 R2 server via RDP using the Apple Silicon version of the Microsoft Remote Desktop client, and I move a file from the desktop of that server to the Public folder on my Mac (the only folder I have shared via RDP on my Mac) it changes the Modified Date to Sunday, November 29, 2076, 3:54:34 AM.
By moving a file, I mean dragging the file from the desktop to my Public folder while holding down the left Shift key on my keyboard. My Public folder is in a window I opened by double-clicking on the This PC icon, then double-clicking on the Public folder which appears in Devices and Drives in the This PC window.
If I copy the file instead (by not holding down the left Shift key), it does not do this. The Modified Date stays original.
This bug may or may not exist in the Intel version of this client, but I haven't tested that.
My Microsoft Remote Desktop client version number is: Version 10.7.6 (1972)
And the Support ID is:
D819D9BD-5011-416A-AC4D-9CA6F432565D
Please let me know if you need any further information to help debug this issue.
