Microsoft Remote Desktop not working from macOS Monterey version 12.2.1

When I try to open the virtual desktop, I see a black screen and nothing else. I also try to open chrome within the virtual desktop and it looks like it's crashing as it's trying to open. I am getting no error messages as it looks like I am successfully logging in after 2 factor authentication. This has been happening for multiple days and I need it fixed ASAP.

    We recommend to review our troubleshooting section first. The other option you have is to open a support ticket through the Azure Portal.

    SAME ^ note to developers:

    I use remote desktop web client for my school's virtual lab computers. Ever since I updated macOS monterey to 12.3 and started using Safari v15.4 I've had flickering/black/blank/gray display issues and only little squares of screen content show intermittently when I attempt to resize the window, although nothing has worked. I am using chrome in the meantime to work around this issue, but please provide a fix soon! 

     

    (i also have "enable native display resolution" option turned off just FYI)
