Microsoft RDP with macOS Sonoma experiences audio input disconnect

This week I upgraded my Mac to Sonoma and Microsoft RDP for Mac (10.9.2) is now experiencing microphone audio disconnects when I am in a remote Teams meeting via RDP. When I initially connect to Teams, video, audio input and audio output is working correctly. After a few minutes, Teams will report audio device microphone is disconnected and then no-one can hear me speak. My headphones (audio out) and video still continue to function. If I terminate my RDP session and start again, I see the same behavior. Microsoft RDP is a solid product that I have been using for over a decade, hopefully this issue can be resolved soon.

My microphone input level is already at max and that doesn't seem to make any difference. I notice a new version of Microsoft RDP (Beta) was released today. It mentioned a few fixes in the update but not this one. Will have to wait until Monday to see if the issue is resolved.

Apparently in another thread someone said to increase the Mic Input volume and this solved their issues.  I briefly made this change and set it to max  and didn't notice any mic issues but not able to test using teams meeting or google meets etc.  Would anyone be able to confirm if this works for them?

I´m also experiencing these problems. First I thought it relates to my bt BOSE headset. But even when using a wired internet connection and with the build in speaker and microphone, the connection gets lost after several minutes. So I can rule out any network problems.

At this time I can not use Microsoft Teams on my remote machine, which I absolutely need to.

My hardware is a MacBook Air M1 with Sonoma. Unfortunately I cannot say if Sonoma, the latest Microsoft RDP update or both make the problem.

Hope someone can fix that soon.

I too have been dealing with this issue since upgrading to Sonoma. I use Microsoft RDP every day for connecting to my work PC and Teams is an essential part of my work day. Has Microsoft officially acknowledged this issue and provided any estimate for when it will be fixed?

    Same problem.

M1 MacBook Pro 16. I lose access to mic in RDP shortly after trying to use it with apps like Teams and Zoom.

I have had the same issue  Remote from MAC to  WINDOWS PC .

Tested on with MacOS Sonoma on Mac mini and Macbook Pro

USB mic and Builtin MAC Mic. Same issue mic device drops off after 30 -50 seconds exiting google meet or Teams meeting  and relaunching works but only for a few mins. Tested even using Windows Voice recorder same issue.

I am experiencing the same problem, I have tried changing the microphone bitrate but the same problem continues to occur.

I have also tried changing the microphone isolation mode from mac OS, but the problems continue.

My job depends on this working and for me it is very important that it can be solved soon. thank you so much
