Microsoft RDP with macOS Sonoma experiences audio input disconnect
This week I upgraded my Mac to Sonoma and Microsoft RDP for Mac (10.9.2) is now experiencing microphone audio disconnects when I am in a remote Teams meeting via RDP. When I initially connect to Teams, video, audio input and audio output is working correctly. After a few minutes, Teams will report audio device microphone is disconnected and then no-one can hear me speak. My headphones (audio out) and video still continue to function. If I terminate my RDP session and start again, I see the same behavior. Microsoft RDP is a solid product that I have been using for over a decade, hopefully this issue can be resolved soon.

I'm running 10.9.6 as well on Sonoma (14.4.1) and my audio is fine. It's been great since the fix.

I don't recall any issues with 10.9.6, but I'm running 10.9.7 on macOS Sonoma without issues.

After upgrading to the latest Remote Desktop Beta 10.9.6, it seems like this issue has returned.

I have confirmed that the new 10.9.5 release of Microsoft Remote Desktop finally fixes the microphone issue with macOS Sonoma. Glad to see this bug finally fixed.

Thank you for the heads-up toddw731 - I have verified it works and fixed the audio input issue.
For those of you that are comfortable with beta software, you need to do the following if you want to test this fix:- Download Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta for Mac version 10.9.5 here: https://aka.ms/rdmacbeta
- Unzip the downloaded file and copy to your applications folder (yes, it runs separately from the GA version of Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac).
- Run the beta version and recreate the RDP PC and/or Workspace profiles you have in the GA version.
- Connect, test, and post your results in this thread.
If you are not interested in beta software, you will have to wait until 10.9.5 is released as GA.
