MacOS - Windows App Preview - Mouse Cursor Disappears and Import From RDP File

Running on MacOS. Recently updated from Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta app to Windows App Preview. Found a couple issues with the new app:

  1. After exiting a session, the mouse cursor disappears, so you cannot see where you are in the app. This also extends to areas outside of the app, where the mouse cursor is not visible on other areas of the desktop. While in the app screen,  as you move the cursor around, icons like edit & delete display while near a PC or Workspace, but you can't see the cursor.
  2. Please add the Import from RDP file to the app toolbar. Currently have to access it from the Connections tab on the MacOS menu bar. Previous desktop had this in the app toolbar.
  3. Add additional layout customizations in the app main area. Smaller icons and additional grid options.

    Same annoying problem.
    MacOS Sequoia 15.1.1
    Windows App Version 11.0.2

Also: menu item 'Submit feedback' points to a non-existent webpage...

Windows App 11.0.3 is now out. One of the fixes is: "Fixed a bug that was causing the mouse cursor to be hidden when disconnecting from a remote session."

I just installed the update but haven't tested it yet. Hopefully this is what we needed.

I am running macOS 15 with WA 11.0.1 and I have a coworker running macOS 14.7.0 with WA 11.0.1. Both of us encounter the invisible cursor issue when a session is terminated. It almost seems like a 50/50 shot as to whether the cursor will disappear or not. When it happened to me today, I found that if I was able to successfully move the invisible cursor so I could click on any of the menus (Windows App, Edit, Connections, etc.) at the top of the screen, the cursor did reappear.

The cursor is only invisible while WA is the active (frontmost) app. If you click into another app or the Finder, the cursor is visible again. But if you return to WA, the cursor goes invisible again until you either quit or use the menu trick mentioned above to restore visibility.

Initially Windows App Preview came down as an update to Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta, and I had this issue. For a different reason (multi tenant login) I checked the version of WAP an it was 11.0.0. Something I was reading stated that it was now in general release. So I went to the Mac App store and downloaded it. It seemingly installed as separate app (none of my previous devices exist....I hope MS will fix this, otherwise I will have two versions of the same app). This one is 11.0..1 (2382). The cursor / pointer disappearing still exists. I have to quit the app in order to correct the issue.  Oh and not stated before, I am on MacOS Sonoma 14.5.

    MS are you reading this?
