Keyboard not working in Virtual Machine console inside Remote Desktop session

The keyboard does not work in Virtual Machine console. Tried it with VMWare, Xenserver, Citrix and XCP-NG. Tried the on-screen keyboard, Magic Keyboard Mac, Magic Keyboard iPad, all not working. The mouse is working. This has been an issue since I moved from my iMac and MacBook Pro to only work on the iPad Pro.

Also tried with the Beta client. Same thing. I see on internet more people having this issues (specifically Citrix Remote Desktop workers).

Kind Regards,

Mohammad

similar issue for me but seems to work when connected into a windows 10 system device manager adds a “remote desktop keyboard device” to device manager but then if I try to use vmware workstation, its device manager shows up as standard ps/2 keyboard and only the  ENTER key on the ipad pro magic keyboard works
