Full screen on external display in Remote Desktop IPad Pro
Working with Windows365 on my iPad Pro is amazing but it will be perfect if Remote Desktop app use the full size of the screen using external monitor. Jump Remote Desktop have this capability but you can not connect to Windows365. As i said.. it wil be the ideal world o have my Win365 on the iPad using external monitor with full size screen.

I think it would be time to book an appointement somewhere and discuss the foods and drinks for our anniversary party. The invites should go out in june. Or will it be online? Suggestions?

I think this will never come. Now again we have 3 month of standing still.
Support JumpDesktop, they do the job MS can´t. Sad.
Or is there any progress John_Spencer ?

Me too, the ability to expand the RDP session to full screen on an external monitor would be amazing, please, please, please can this be done.

This is the last thing preventing me from using my iPad as a laptop replacement. Please, fix this 🙂

Yes, please allow full screen on the IPAD app - this would mean it’s the perfect device for me!

Installed brand new iPadOS 16.2 to try out the external monitor support, only to find out that the MS Remote Desktop application does not support full screen and is limited to the maximum resolution of the iPad screen, even though the external screen has a much higher resolution.
Also it's nearly impossible to reach any objects inside the windows near the border as the iPad mouse cursor gets in the way (cursor switches to resize function) and the triple points on the top center of the app window are hard to reach.
So if you need any additional motivation to upgrade the Remote Desktop app, here it is! 🙂

Thank you John_Spencer we are looking forward to see this feature in the future. Maybe we will not celebrate the 2 year anniversary here 😉
Btw. focusing on stagemanager is not the smartes decission. This is a iPad Pro M* only feature - atm Apple disabled the fullscreen external display support on all this devices with final 16.1, this will, or not, come back with iOS 16.2 - in the beta version it´s aviable again since tuesday. So you´ll lock out all other iDevices. Not a smart move. All actual iOS Devices support external displays, this feasture should not be senseless chip-exclusive.
Think of this scenario: Someone could equip his employees with iPhones/ iPads incl. a dockingstation for the devices and use this devices, with JumpDesktop, as "Thinclients". The collegues have only a single device wich handles the mobile and office workplace. Outside the MS cosmos this is reality. If you like the pain I can re-do a video which shows this scenario with an iPhone X.
I understand that this could be a marketing move to sell surface Devices/ Windows devices. But its really, really annoying that a 3rd party publisher have to show you how to do your-RDP on nextgen devices. Btw. the native Citrix receiver also can do fullscreen since ~4 years.
Just my opinion no offense. Hear the voices of some admins, users or deciders wich use this forum to bring your technology forward. Not many people take this way.
