Black screen when using Remote Desktop

I'm using Remote Desktop on a Mac (windows 10), however it is showing a black screen. How do I rectify this issue

    Please ensure you are connecting from most recent version of client. Also restart connection or restart app. If this doesn't resolve the issue, please let us know. Thanks!
