on Windows Server 2022, hotpatching is available as part of Windows Server Datacenter: Azure Edition. Which you can use on premises, if you deploy on Azure Local (formerly known as Azure Stack HCI.) Otherwise, there are currently no plans to enable new scenarios on Windows Server 2022. We encourage customers to upgrade to Windows Server 2022 to take advantage of all the newest security features and manageability improvements—with hotpatching being one of them. However, we keep closely monitoring customer feedback and requestes. So, if you have to stay on Windows Server 2022 for the time being, and would be interested in hotpatching, please keep this feedback coming.
