N-4 Media Update and N-2 Feature Upgrade are the new concepts that enable seamless transitions directory from Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2025, while the N-2 feature upgrade allows move from Server 2019 to 2025

What is the differnce between NVMe vs. NVME over TCP?

Think of NVMe/TCP as being the NVMe equivalent of iSCSI.
Or, another way to look at it is NVMe/TCP is to NVMe as iSCSI is to SCSI.

NVMe is a flash storage drive, and NVMe-oF is a remote storage connect type, just like iSCSI or Fibre Channel. NVMe-oF is a new type of storage connectivity for SAN's. See the storage session here at the Windows Server Summit that will go into more details:
