Any employee can create an AMA event from their storyline. Can this feature be deactivated so only communications employees and leaders can initiate them?

Hi Andrew. The capability currently does not exist to deactivate the AMA feature for particular users, although we are looking into building toggles to allow for this.
- ayana_chenFeb 23, 2023Former EmployeeAndrew, curious to learn more about your use case here. Can you please share why you would want to limit AMA creation to particular users?
- andrewclarkeFeb 23, 2023Iron ContributorA majority of our users are frontline employees and should not be organizing AMA events. Rather, AMA events (if I understand correctly how they're used and viewed in Engage) should be a way for communicators, community admins and leaders to provide employees with an opportunity to ask questions about programs, initiatives, etc.
- andrewclarkeFeb 23, 2023Iron ContributorThank you. Similar to the how announcement feature is restricted, AMA event set-up should be too. Everyday users should no be setting up AMAs. It's should be a tool for communicators, community admins and leaders to use with their follower base.
