Does this transition will also speed up ability to have more data residency options? More specifically interested in when Viva Engage will be able to keep its data in Australian region, instead of US? It's one of the most ask questions on many M365 rollout/enabling projects I've been part of. And frequently it's a showstopper, especially in government.

This brand name change and new feature set does NOT necessarily mean that Engage will be available in more regions, outside of the US and the EU for data residency purposes. We don't have any timelines for the Australian region, we are IRAP certified however if that helps.
