Per the exact instructions from Microsoft, we continually and repeatedly explained that Yammer is NOT being renamed. It's now being renamed. This seems to have been in the works for a while. How do you expect us to communicate this reasonably and fairly to our population, without looking like we're going back on our word?
- Feel free to throw Microsoft under the bus on this one (though I agree with Steve/Murali that "never" wasn't part of their messaging).

Hi Sarah, I know there have been times where I have said to folks that there are no plans to change the Yammer name and that was true as of the time that I said that. As you can imagine businesses and brands evolve over time. In our efforts to bring Yammer more closely to be aligned with our Viva suite, we felt it prudent to make sure that the overall branding was consistent with that. Regardless of what this platform is called, we pledge to continue to bring a product that promotes employee engagement, knowledge sharing, and rich discovery. - MuraliSitaramI don't believe our intent was to ever say that a rebrand would "never" happen. I am sorry if it came across in that way. The first real decision for a rebrand was internally made very recently and we moved fast to communicate as soon as we were able to a worldwide audience.
