When I do some keyword searches in the search window of a SharePoint site, the search result suggestions appear in a drop-down in the window, but they are different from the results I get when I press the Enter key. I am using Japanese, but it seems to be more accurate to show the results as search result suggestions. I would like to know what the difference is, and if there are plans to unify the two types of search results.

If I understand correctly, the answers you see in search results page are more accurate than the ones you see in the search box drop down. Is that right?
Does it happen often while using Japanese? and does it happen when you use English?
- Ai_HIRANOJul 27, 2022MVPNo, the ones in the search box drop down is more accurate. I always use Japanese.
- sgatkalJul 27, 2022Copper ContributorGot it. We are constantly improving the relevance of search results as well as search suggestions. As of now, we do not have a plan to unify them but I take the feedback that you want the answers in search results page more accurately (especially when using Japanese). We will ensure to account this feedback in improving our results.
