Will there be some sort of unique UI design through the MS Search landscape? Currently not all results are shown in the same way across the apps that use MS Search, so the adaptive cards or result templates should be more aligned.

MicrosoftCan you give some specific examples of where they are different? There will be some CSS styling that is different, but for the Microsoft Search pages they should look and feel the same, as they are being read from the same configuration.
For example if you look at the files in Edge tab, Office.com or SharePoint files, the display template is different on all locations.
