When is search going to get better refiners? We had to take a big step backwards from what we had in 2013. File type and last modified doesn't cut it for users. We do annual surveys of our intranet and search is always one of the largest complaints since moving to SPO. Refiners, scoping, proper ranking - all some of the top issues that contribute to users wishing our intranet "could be more like google"...i know, I hate hearing it too 🙂
Have you looked at the PnP Modern Search Refiners? https://microsoft-search.github.io/pnp-modern-search/
- We did, but were not impressed or looking to have to implement and support something custom. It also doesn't cover all of the search experiences, so it was kind of a non-starter. These basic things need to native in the OOTB product.
