With Microsoft Graph connectors, you can index third-party data so it appears in Microsoft Search results and access that data through Copilot for Microsoft 365. Learn how to use Graph connectors to bring third-party data into Microsoft Graph.
This session is part of the Copilot for Microsoft 365 Tech Accelerator. Add it to your calendar, RSVP for event reminders, and post your questions and comments below! This session will also be recorded and available on demand shortly after conclusion of the live event. |

- EdDaleEYKnowledgeCopper ContributorIs there a limit on the size of the content included in copilot via connector? Does this work like a RAG application for copilot, or is the content incorporated in some way? Is there any long term storage of the content or is this stateless?

Content ingested via Graph connectors has a max payload size of 4MB, but this is parsed text size. See documentation for how to contextualize that: https://learn.microsoft.com/graph/connecting-external-content-api-limits#item-ingestion Graph connector data is stored in the customer's Microsoft 365 tenant alongside data for SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, etc. - EdDaleEYKnowledgeCopper ContributorAny risk of the copilot hallucinating when the connector information is missing?
- EdDaleEYKnowledgeCopper ContributorAny planned incorporation of Microsoft Syntax capabilities?

Thanks for joining us! We hope you enjoyed this session. The Copilot for Microsoft 365 Tech Accelerator continues. Up next: Copilot for Microsoft 365 AMA: Tech Accelerator edition (Day 2).

We’ll continue to answer questions here in the chat through the end of the week. If you missed the live broadcast, don’t worry – you can watch it on demand.
- CatarinaFrancoCopper ContributorDoes copilot gets the external data everytime it's requested? Can we have some type of cache?

Following up from AMA answer, Graph connector data is evaluated and retrieved similar to other Microsoft 365 data sources. If the answer has already been provided in a conversation (i.e. a "new chat" instance in Copilot for Microsoft 365) then it will generally not be re-retrieved. Aside from that there is no "cache" so to speak. - CatarinaFrancoCopper ContributorAnswered in AMA. Thank you!

Do you have any adoption blockers that are preventing you from adopting Graph connectors from a capability standpoint? - BrianTJackett

Are you looking for low-code / no-code ways to build a Graph connector that do not require an administrator to setup? - pgardnerCopper ContributorWhere is the data actually stored when it is pulled?

The data in Microsoft Graph Connectors is stored side by side in the same place where other Microsoft 365 data is stored. When I speak to customers or partners I usually say its a "1st class citizen" alongside Microsoft 365 data and treated no differently.- pgardnerCopper ContributorTo clarify, it is stored in OneLake, in a SharePoint Site, in the context of exchange? Would Co-Pilot leverage data integrations built in Fabric?
- DerekEtnyre414Copper ContributorDo you need to use Graph API to pull data from SharePoint lists into Copilot - or will Copilot find the SharePoint list data on its own?
- FabianWilliamsMSFT
Microsoft
Copilot will reason over the data in SharePoint as long as the list/library allows for index.
- jrwarwickCopper ContributorWhere would a SPO site admin find those settings? Site Settings > Document Library Settings > ? Enterprise Metadata? Indexed Columns?
- HermineTurner-TAPCopper ContributorFull screening the YouTube Demo for Graph Connectors appears very blurry. 😒
