You should be able to filter on the internal name of the column "ComplianceTag".

I tried that and it replies "Column does not exist"

    For oData it might be _ComplianceTag (with an underscore at the beginning). Does that work?

    You may need to contact support for the SharePoint team to see how they can help, the column can definitely be used in search queries too as an option.
