Microsoft Entra Verified ID AMA
Event details
Last month we announced the general availability of Microsoft Entra Verified ID! We are very excited to announce our Microsoft Entra Verified ID AMA session! Verified ID assures you can confidently issue and verify workplace credentials, education status, certifications, or any unique identity attributes.
An AMA is a live text-based online event similar to a “YamJam” on Yammer or an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit. This AMA gives you the opportunity to connect with Microsoft product experts who will be on hand to answer your questions and listen to feedback.
Feel free to post your questions about Verified ID anytime in the comments below beforehand, if it fits your schedule or time zone better, though questions will not be answered until the live hour.

- Kurt MackieBrass ContributorWhen will Microsoft Authenticator become a digital wallet for Microsoft Entra Verified ID? Will people be able to use Microsoft Authenticator to create their own identity attestations?
- AnkurPatel
Microsoft
We are working with Enterprise customers and partners to issue and verify the widest set of credentials - employment, education, skills, wealth or any other custom credentials. Customers can use Entra Verified ID to issue, revoke, request and verify such credentials (even if their Identity and Access Management system is based on-premises or any Cloud). Users can hold and present credentials using Microsoft Authenticator. Furthermore, we are working closely with a diverse set of partners to ensure interoperability - details available at http://aka.ms/vcinterop.
- Kurt MackieBrass ContributorCan you give a thumbnail sketch on how Microsoft Entra Verified Identity gets monetized? It's available as part of a free Azure Active Directory membership, but identity service providers are involved in affirmations. So, does that mean that the service gets monetized by ad tracking or something like that?

We believe Verified ID is an essential investment for helping our customers improve on their posture for security and compliance posture. Therefore, it is included as a capability for all Azure AD customers. Customers will need licenses for features that use Verified ID as a capability (for example, Entitlement Management [integration with Verified ID in private preview now] or Conditional Access [development in-progress]). In addition, customers will need to have custom business agreement in place to get attestations from 3rd parties, such as, Identity Verification Partners (like Lexis Nexis and Au10tix).
- dougsbakerBrass ContributorDo you have any walkthroughs of converting your sample app to running on App services? I got the app running however i am having issues with Configuring the API calls. i seem to have missed a step in the configs. This is the guide i am following but not making progress. https://github.com/Azure-Samples/active-directory-verifiable-credentials-node/tree/main/1-node-api-idtokenhint#deploying-the-sample-to-azure-appservices

Do you have it running locally? In that case it could be the config for the app service. But it's hard to troubleshoot without more details.- dougsbakerBrass ContributorHmm yeah I figured it might be difficult in this forum. Are there any video walkthroughs of doing the full setup? I was trying to find one but i was struggling finding a 0 to demo guide.
- JarrodPichaCopper ContributorHave details around licensing/pricing been released yet? I'm curious what the minimum license level will be to utilize Entra.
- Rohit_Gulati
Microsoft

- AndyTanCopper ContributorI am glad that Microsoft has taken the lead in working with the industry partners to design and implement a decentralized identity system that empowers the credential holder to decide when and with whom to share it. These credentials can be presented and validated even if the issuing institution no longer exists. I look forward to learning how to use it.
