- Good question. SMTP Auth is not part of this, so i guess we mainly talk about imap/pop clients, some Powershell scripts and i don't know if EAS is really a critical one. Most of my customer should be already on the way getting rid of the last basic auth dependencies, but would be great to make this visible before it actually happens. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits the one critical business process no one looked after. Maybe a Month in advance via Admin Center and usual Notification and at some later point (couple of days / a week?) a headsup. So they can at least check on their current status and inform the relevant app owners. Would be great if you could take this in your considerations.
- AmirHaque-MSFTI totally understand the situation that you're in with your customers. I'd say best way to handle an unexpected critical connectivity situation due to temporary disabling of Basic auth, would be to advise all your customers to use the Limited Opt out feature in our diagnostic to have them excluded from that blockage.
