Modernized Gateway Extension Support via WAC SDK

Hello, I would like to build a gateway plugin for the latest WAC v2511 but according to this documentation, the latest SDK package does not support the latest modernized gateway extensions. Is there a way to workaround this without downgrading WAC version?
