Disk unallocated and Offline suddenly

We have a application running on windows server 2012 r2(SD) on a virtual machine and it has 2 local disk( C & D) which was working fine suddenly the Local Disk : D become un allocated and offline suddenly . But we need the files back from Local Disk : D so could someone suggest and help us to resolve the issue.
