Windows Update Stuck?

All my servers are running Server 2016. It seems whenever I run Windows Updates they hang forever. This one has been sitting on 0% for a couple hours now, but everything else works fine on this same server. My other server is at about 42% after 3 hours. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a way to do Windows Updates more efficiently on my 9 servers?

Thanks!

What state? Is it downloading or installing?

One option may be to stand up your own WSUS at the site. (I'd start a new thread to discuss this one)

    Hi,
    Pls check to the followings.
1- storage space available for download.
2 - check connection and your network firewall is allow for that services
3 - your server hardware is fine or not. (It’s mean is Physical Network adapter or something. Some WiFi adapter is very slow speed for connection. I had experience on 2012. Heee. 🙂 . )
4 - your license is already activated or not. (If your running on production, you may need to check it)
5 - Check to server background services. May be some services will conflict settings.
6 - Check to proxy settings if using on your network available of WSUS.
7 - if your using WSUS. Also check to policy configuration.
I hope that is will helpful for you.
Also I hope all are fine in this COVID periods. Sorry for weakness of my English.
    Thanks.
